Hi! I’m Kelly, a lover of fashion, fitness, and all things beauty. I am currently in my junior year at Western Kentucky University and interning with College Fashionista as a Style Guru! I have loved dressing up since I was a little girl, and that passion has only grown over time. My mom definitely raised me on affordable fashion, I was just as excited to shop at a thrift store as going to any department store. I look forward to sharing my excitement about fashion (particularly, affordable fashion) with you!
One thing I have always struggled with when looking at big fashion bloggers, fashion magazines, and celebrities for inspiration is that they generally represent a lavish lifestyle. My friends know me as the one who will tell you “You could have gotten that at TJ Maxx for $5.” Actually, though, this is a direct quote. The reason I named my blog The Everyday Babe is because fashion should be for EVERYONE, and it does not have to be expensive. Affordable fashion is something anyone can attain. A $400 bag isn’t what makes you fashionable. Fashion is an attitude and an extension of who you are.
I am a firm believer that fashion is a form of self-expression. I think your outfit can showcase as much (or as little) of your personality as you choose. My fashion choices have always been heavily dependent upon my mood, so my looks are often changing. I hope to inspire you to cultivate your own style as an outlet for creativity and an extension of your personality, without breaking the bank.
